Gluco Glance reads your glucose level straight off a CGM sensor over Bluetooth and shows it: the current number, which way it is heading, and a graph you can scrub through.
NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE. It is not approved by any regulator and has had no clinical testing. A reading here can be wrong, late, or missing. Do not treat a high or a low on the strength of this app alone. Check with your meter, and follow the advice of whoever looks after your diabetes.
SENSORS
Sibionics GS1, found on its own with nothing to pair.
Abbott FreeStyle Libre 2 and 2 Plus, European models, paired with one NFC tap.
You can run several at once, and every sensor you have worn keeps its own colour and its own line on the graph.
WHAT IT DOES
Dashboard with the reading, the trend, how long the sensor has left, and a graph you can pinch between 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours.
Daily Log for meals, notes and moods, each carrying what the sensor said at that moment.
Calibration from a fingerprick, so readings slide between pricks as the sensor drifts.
Alerts, where a low breaks through a silenced phone and a high does not.
A home screen widget and a permanent notification, so you do not have to open the app to use it.
PRIVACY
The app has no INTERNET permission, so it cannot send your data anywhere. Android enforces that, you do not have to take my word for it. No cloud backup, no analytics, no crash reporting, no adverts, no accounts. It ships with no third-party libraries at all.
